Key Steps to Set Up West Penn Power Electric Service*

To receive your keys, you must first establish electric service by following these steps:

  • Designate one group member to handle the set up.
  • Visit the official West Penn Power website by clicking/tapping here:  www.West-Penn-Power.com
  • Click the option “Find Address by Meter Number”.
  • Enter your specific meter number from your lease agreement and your move-in email.
  • Type in the zip code of your new rental property.
  • Select “Yes” when asked if this is your Primary Residence.
  • Complete the remainder of the online application form.
  • Locate your official Account ID (note:  it does not begin with a “w” and is not the meter number).
  • Submit this Account ID directly to ARPM using the form provided below.

Your electric account number should start with “100” – if it does not, you likely have the wrong number. No account number begins with a letter!

 

*Associated Realty Property Management (ARPM) manages properties, while West Penn Power handles the electricity.  Because West Penn Power is an independent entity, you must manage your power account directly with West Penn Power.  West Penn Power requires a separate application for service and may require a security deposit.  You will receive a separate and independent monthly bill for your electricity consumption.
